If you're itching to flip through the old tree in your family and understand more deeply where you came from, this App called Anchery: Family History & DNA is like a digital door open for you. It combines two powerful tools, genealogy research and DNA analysis, making your journey to discover ancestors easy and fun, not boring at all.
This App was created by the famous Archaestry team. The goal is to help you easily trace your bloodline on your mobile phone, build a detailed family tree, and dig out the secrets hidden in many genes-whether you are a Xiaobai who has touched family history for the first time, or a veteran who has been in the genealogy circle for many years, it can give you a great platform to start a historical adventure of your own.
The most eye-catching feature is the powerful DNA test integration. It not only tells you where your blood probably comes from, but it also helps you find your blood related relatives around the world. The huge historical archives in the App are even more incredible-census data, birth records, marriage certificates... You can use these fragments to spell out the story of your family. Moreover, that extremely easy-to-use family tree making tool allows you to easily draw and write down the relationship between your ancestors, and watch your story unfold little by little. The sense of connection in your heart is simply bursting.
The App's interface is clean and tidy, like a well-organized library-everything is in its proper place, and everything you want to find is cool. Whether it's flipping through the family tree or looking at the DNA results, the operation is very natural. The icons are designed very cleverly, and there are intimate guidance at every step. Newbies don't have to panic. They learn quickly and can fill in data, check files, or understand the data of genetic analysis in a short while. The most amazing thing is its reaction speed. Whether you add a new ancestor or study your own racial report, the whole process is very smooth, just like flipping through an old yellowed photo album.
Many genealogy software either focuses on collecting files or just doing DNA testing, but Archaestry has combined the two on one platform, allowing you to verify your discoveries from different sources. It can perfectly match the DNA results you test with those historical records, so that the life experience you see is not just a few simple lines of data, but layers of, multi-dimensional, super-three-dimensional stories-cold numbers suddenly become a flesh-and-blood legend. In addition, you can find potential relatives on the App and collaborate on family research. Few other tools can match this sense of community.
Given its comprehensive functions and thought-out design, I think it's a good fit for anyone who is curious and wants to understand their past-whether you're just starting out or already know a lot. I especially recommend it to those who want a reliable and integrated platform that can take you step by step solve the genealogy mystery without driving you crazy. For ordinary enthusiasts, it is deep enough and does not require any professional skills at all; for those scholars who delve deeply into it, its massive archives and DNA integration functions will definitely satisfy them.
Discovering your family history is like unfolding an ancient map-every clue takes you to a new corner of your past. The Ancestry App is like a particularly friendly and reliable guide during this expedition. The most commendable thing is that it combines genetic information with detailed historical archives in perfect harmony, coupled with that super lively community connection feature, it really makes people want to slap their thighs-if you are ready to turn over the page of your family story, this App is definitely worth playing. It gives you not only data, but also a window into your unique background and identity.
Open the app, log in or register an account, and then click the 'Build Family Tree' button on the home screen to start adding information about your relatives. It's super easy!
That's right! You can build a family tree for free and search more than 1.1 billion records for free. However, there are some advanced functions that you have to pay for and subscribe to.
It's so awesome! It can tell you your ancestral home, help you find relatives, and analyze health genetic information. Just use the saliva collection box in the app and take a simple test.
Use the 'community' or 'collaboration' features in the app to find users you can talk to, and then you can share the family tree or edit it together. It's very interesting!
It contains census data, birth/death certificates, military files, and old photos! You can find it by searching directly in the app.
Go to Account> Subscribe in the Settings, pick a plan you like, follow the prompts to go through the process, and you can unlock more data and tools after paying.
Users widely praise Ancestry: Family History & DNA for its ability to uncover family roots, connect with relatives, and provide a smooth, informative experience. However, several key dimensions generate mixed feedback. Regarding the paywall: many appreciate the depth of content and tools, but a significant number find the fees exorbitant and feel that formerly free features (e.g., DNA traits, photo access) are now locked behind a costly subscription. On user experience: while some enjoy the intuitive interface and easy navigation, others struggle with a cluttered dashboard, loss of work after updates, and persistent errors when viewing hints. As for billing and cancellations: positive reviewers see value in the service, yet numerous users report difficulty canceling subscriptions, unauthorized charges, and lack of responsive support. In terms of DNA and tree building: the app is excellent for manual tree creation and unmatched resources, but some users expect automatic tree linking from DNA data and are disappointed by incomplete results (e.g., only maternal side) and the need to manually add parents. Overall, Ancestry delivers powerful genealogy tools but faces strong criticism over pricing, feature restrictions, and customer service.
The ever-expanding dashboard has become a nuisance. I don't want to be distracted by trivial details. All I need is to view my tree, but that's no longer simple. There's no straightforward way to access the tree view anymore.
I absolutely enjoy using this application and find it very useful.
This product is truly amazing. Its performance and design exceed expectations. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality solution.
For months, they took money from me, claiming my subscription was canceled while still charging. I’ve called four times, but they refuse to refund the stolen funds. Warning: their free trial doesn’t truly cancel, and calling won’t help. Even after promising cancellation, they keep billing and deny refunds. Unfortunately, I’ll have to call again.
Although my DNA data is stored, I cannot access anything on the app or website unless I pay an exorbitant monthly fee. This is a joke.
