Have you imagined it? It turns out that getting a car self-inspection can be so easy! Carly is here to break down this barrier. Whether you are a car fan or an ordinary car owner, as long as you take out your mobile phone, you can easily find out the "details" of the engine-turning the seemingly intimidating world of car diagnosis into an intimate, intuitive, and accessible to anyone.
Behind Carly is a group of engineers who understand both cars and code. While thinking about how to make esoteric car diagnosis simple, they also want to let every car owner have real-time data without having to go to the repair shop every time. To put it bluntly, you just want you to be able to handle the "physical examination" of your car yourself.
Whether you are a tinker, an ordinary car owner, or a car mechanic, as long as you want to understand the car's condition and don't want to spend a lot of money on equipment, Carly is your type.
Imagine-if your car could talk, how would it complain to you? Carly is like that friend who knows cars, translating the "Morse Codes" hidden behind the dashboard into plain Chinese and telling you. Don't worry if you are a Xiaobai or an old driver, use it to make a diagnosis and you will go from being confused to knowing, only the distance of a mobile phone.
The most basic one is of course a diagnostic scan. Plug your mobile phone into the OBD2 interface via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, and the App immediately activates and instantly captures all fault codes. Not only does it recognize a large number of models and codes, but it can also tell you "what does this mean" in Mandarin-for example, when the engine light is on, it will say "it may be a three-cylinder fire" or "the oxygen sensor is dead", and give you a few repair suggestions. After the repair is completed, you can clear the code with one click to save money from going to the repair shop.
Isn't it satisfying just looking at trouble codes? Take it real. Carly can read various sensor data in real time and draw dynamic charts on parameters such as water temperature, speed, fuel consumption, and oxygen sensors. Imagine driving while staring at the temperature curve on your phone and suddenly discovering that the water temperature has soared-you can quickly pull over to check before the tank explodes. This is not only a good helper for repairing cars, but also a tool for enthusiasts to adjust their performance.
Most diagnostic apps on the market can't do this-Carly can program! For example, BMW and Mini owners can unlock hidden functions or change factory settings. For example: Changing the color of interior lights and adjusting maintenance tips for your car is like installing a "developer option" on your mobile phone. You make the decisions about your car. For car owners who like to toss, this is simply too attractive.
Carly's interface is designed like a digital dashboard, with crisp icons and clear navigation. Even if you don't touch your mobile phone much, you can follow the process from connection to diagnosis. The operation responded quickly, and there was almost no delay-it was like having a "private maintenance team" in your pocket. Learning curve? Basically flat. Basic functions can be easily understood at a glance, and advanced functions also have video tutorials to guide you, so you don't have to worry about being scared by those technical terms.
Many apps can read trouble codes, but what makes Carly powerful is that it combines comprehensive diagnosis, personalized programming and a minimalist experience. In particular, the customized functions for specific models allow car fans to not only "see a doctor", but also "beauty". Moreover, it updates firmware regularly, is compatible with the latest models, and is not complicated to operate-it's like combining a reliable mechanic and a friend who knows technology into one person.
To be honest, I highly recommend Carly. It is not just a tool to "scan trouble codes", but more like your car housekeeper, giving you real-time data and personalized adjustments, so that you can know the health of your car. Whether you are a daily commuter car owner, a thoughtful modification party, or a technician who occasionally takes on work, Carly can do it. It won't scare you, but it will make you feel that raising a car can be so interesting!
If you want an App that can both diagnose and play tricks, Carly is definitely worth a try-it's like a diagnostic partner in your pocket, ready to help you monitor, troubleshoot, and customize your car. Anyway, I fell in love with it after I tried it.
Just buy a Carly universal scanner first, plug it into the OBD2 interface of the car, open the app, and then follow the prompts on the screen. It's very simple!
Gee, don't worry! Before buying or even using it, go to the app or official website to take a look at the list of supported car brands and you will be clear ~
The free version can also do a lot of things! For example, engine and gearbox diagnosis, real-time data monitoring, and emission inspection. You can use these basic tools by downloading the app, which is quite practical!
Want to play advanced features? Then upgrade to a premium package! Then enter the app's diagnosis menu, and you can read/clear the fault code, read the service guide, reset and maintain, and check the battery. Is it very powerful?
Go to the diagnosis section, select the fault code of the vehicle ECU, click in to see the details, and select "Clear Fault Code" after repairing it. It's super simple!
Of course! Using the "Coding and Unlock" function, you can modify those settings hidden by the manufacturer, such as automatic car lock, welcome lights, etc., which can be adjusted in the app's customized menu. Isn't it cool?
Users widely praise the app's diagnostic capabilities, particularly for BMWs, where it unlocks hidden settings and provides clear fault insights. However, many criticize its subscription model as predatory, with automatic renewals and near-impossible cancellation processes. Functionality is strong for some brands but inconsistent; while some users find it effective for DIY repairs, others report incompatibility (e.g., VW MQBw, Renault, Audi TT) or that it causes new faults. Customer service is frequently described as unhelpful or unresponsive, especially regarding refunds and cancellations. A few users value the mileage check and basic features, but the high annual cost and lack of one-time payment option disappoint many. Overall, opinions are sharply divided between those who find it useful for specific vehicles and those who consider it a scam.
Excellent scanner, I bought it for my VW Atlas and Tiguan. It's easy to use, intuitive, and provides solid mechanical recommendations. Definitely worth having.
Be cautious of the automatic license extension rip-off. It also has poor compatibility with VW's MQBw platform.
You must cancel your subscription at least one month before the annual billing date to avoid being charged for another year. Consider purchasing a physical scanner instead, which does not require a subscription and won't rely on you forgetting its predatory terms after 12 months.
Like many, I was unaware this was a yearly subscription. Used it once—slow and useless—then switched cars. Later found a bank charge from Carly. Requested refund due to unauthorized payment and car change, but they refused. I filed a chargeback; Carly then canceled my license. Bank refunded me.
It does not work at all and serves no purpose.
