4.3 Weather 3.5.3 1.00M

Have you ever planned to go hiking over the weekend, only to be soaked by a sudden rainstorm? Or get up early to see if I can dry the quilt, but be fooled by the weather forecast? MeteoSwiss is that reliable friend. It not only covers Switzerland and surrounding areas, but also allows outdoor enthusiasts, professional farmers, or ordinary users like you and me to rely on it to solve the weather. Don't underestimate it. Behind it is the Swiss Federal Meteorological Office. It has a government background and high-tech, and the data are reliable.
This App was created by the Swiss Federal Meteorological Office. To put it bluntly, it is the official weather app produced by the national team. It has three trump cards: hyper-local forecasts, high-resolution radar maps, and reliable extreme weather warnings. Imagine receiving a storm warning while climbing a mountain, or glancing at a roadside rainfall forecast before driving-it feels like having a private weather sentry standing outside your window. As for its target users, it takes care of everything from mountain climbers to farmers to office workers in cities who want to escape the rain.
Imagine a spring morning, the sun just shines through the window, but your heart is beating: Will it suddenly rain later? MeteoSwiss is like an old friend who knows the business. It doesn't give you cold numbers, but allows you to feel the pulse of the atmosphere. Its interface is clean and intuitive. Sliding, zooming, and clicking is not like solving a password at all, but like chatting with a knowledgeable buddy. Whether you are a veteran who watches clouds every day or an ordinary person who just wants to see if he wants to bring an umbrella tomorrow, it will tell you the weather in a story-telling manner.
What fascinates me the most is its hyper-local forecast. You know what? Some global weather apps will only tell you "It's raining in Geneva today", but MeteoSwiss can refine it down to your street or even intersection! It relies on Switzerland's dense array of observation stations and supercomputer models, as if there are weathermen in every alley. For outdoor workers, wedding planners or weekend campers, this is a lifesaver. Looking at the map, you can instantly understand whether the snow seeds are falling suddenly or the temperature is rising steadily, making planning your trip even easier.
You can scan the screen and you can know whether the weather is going to change next-this feeling is great.
The weather turns against each other as it says. MeteoroSwiss's high-definition radar is like a weather satellite hanging overhead, tracking heavy rains and storms in real time. The picture is so clear that you find it a bit exaggerated. Its alarm system is even more cooperative: when thunderstorms, strong winds, or heavy snow come, your mobile phone will vibrate, allowing you to prepare an umbrella in advance or evacuate quickly. If you are a ski enthusiast or a mountain hiker, this real-time and accuracy is simply a guarantee of safety. Especially in a place like Switzerland, where the weather changes easily, having this App makes me feel much more at ease.
On the interface, MeteoSwiss simply understands the "balance": it is very informative, but it is not scary at all. The interactive map is as smooth as silk stockings. Newbies can find out what time it will rain tomorrow with a few clicks, and veterans can also drill in to study various weather models. And it has a huge advantage-it has a strong backing. Because it is official data, its forecast accuracy is higher than that of many commercial apps, especially in terms of localization details. If you are a strawberry farmer and need to check for night frosts; or you are a mountain guide and need to plan a sunny day window-MeteoSwiss's short-term forecasts and regional details will definitely put you at the starting line.
Compare it with other weather apps and you will find it good: some global applications have rough data and only know the city level; while MeteoSwiss uses Switzerland's own observation network, it has high time accuracy and detailed areas, just like your own weather consultant.
Today, with so many fancy weather applications, MeteoSwiss has built a path with its real skills: reliable data, accurate forecasts, and invincible localized details. If you live in or near Switzerland and are particularly concerned about weather changes-say if you are a hiker, farmer or construction owner who cannot rely on weather forecasts-you can really close your eyes.
Although it has a fresh interface and full features, new users would be better off spending a few minutes studying radar and alarm settings so they can use it to their extreme. For professionals, it is a must-have tool at work; for ordinary users who just want to live in peace of mind, it can give you more peace of mind before going out without having to worry about the soul torture of "Will it rain tomorrow?"
In short, MeteoSwiss is not some kind of "another skin-changing App" thing-it is a Swiss expert who allows you to understand the sky above your head. If you care about the reliability and localization of the weather forecast, download it.
Very simple! Go to the app store to download it, open it and follow the guidance, and set your location and notification preferences.
Of course! Click "Location", then select "Add Location", enter a zip code or city name, and you can add it to check the weather conditions of various places at any time.
Be sure to check out the "Forecast" section! The eight-day detailed weather, wind speed, temperature, and satellite images are so informative that you will definitely know.
Click on the "Alerts" tab to see the current alert. Remember to go to "Settings> Notifications" to turn on push, so that real-time alerts will not be missed!
Some, some! Advanced features such as METAR/TAF and aviation early warning need to be purchased in-app. Just go to the "Settings> In-App Purchase" section to subscribe.
Don't worry, it uses Swiss official meteorological data. The forecast of up to 8 days is highly reliable and the forecast is quite accurate!
Users generally appreciate MeteoSwiss for its accurate weather data and reliable updates, with many praising its detailed information for border commuters and precision. However, major concerns center on the recent redesign: while some users find the new UI improved and fantastic, many others criticize it as cluttered, confusing, and a downgrade from the old version, citing choppy scrolling, slow animations, and reduced customization. Forecast accuracy is debated—some report precise predictions, while others claim precipitation and snowfall forecasts are often wrong, with rain radar misaligned. Functionality issues include a limit of only 5 saved locations (previously unlimited), inability to edit or delete locations, and lack of English support despite offering German, French, and Italian. Performance and stability are also problematic: frequent crashes, freezes on Android 15/16, excessive resource usage, and slow loading times. Weather warnings are seen as overly frequent by some. Overall, the app splits opinion between reliable data and a frustrating user experience post-redesign.
Unfortunately, the app does not even display the current weather correctly. This matches the overall picture. The post, E-post, health insurance, and motor vehicle insurance apps also do not work properly. Where is the AI? ;-)
Very good, accurate!!
The app used to work well with accurate forecasts and multiple locations on the dashboard. After the latest update, the number of locations is restricted to only 5. This feels like a downgrade, not an improvement.
Please integrate Alertswiss.
The redesign is fantastic! Excellent app.
