In this era when everyone is clamoring for environmental protection, Too Good To Go is simply a clear stream-it is not like other apps that only urge you to buy, but turns food that is destined to be wasted into your little surprise. It's exciting to think about it while helping you save money and reducing the burden on the planet.
It's a community-based "food rescue platform" that connects you to restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets that have leftover food-yes, something that can't be sold but is still fresh, sold to you at an ultra-low price. The development team is from Denmark, a group of people who really want to do something. The core function is to let you see in real time what leftover food can be snatched nearby. Ordering is super easy, and there is also a particularly attractive "surprise bag" concept-everything you buy depends on fate, and eating is like opening a blind box. Its target users are clear: environmental parties, small money savers, and people who like to support local stores and don't want to waste it.
I have to say that the "surprise bag" mechanism is really good. You open the App, browse through foods that are still edible because they are unsaleable (sometimes dinner, sometimes bread, fruit, etc.), and place an order and buy a mystery bag-at a fraction of the original price. What's in it? I don't know! It's like opening a gift, it's both expectant and fun. In this way, you will have the urge to explore, be willing to try new flavors, and help the store absorb excess inventory; as for buying more and less, do you like the category? Don't worry, surprises themselves are the greatest fun.
The App will update in real time what foods are "waiting to be rescued" near your home. Imagine: You just turn on your phone and find that there are still a few croissants left in the bakery on the corner. They may have just been baked half an hour ago and are now waiting for you to "rescue" them. This instantness makes eating particularly casual-suitable for last-minute dinners, or moments when you just want to eat something fresh but don't want to spend a lot of money. It almost turns the food that was originally about to be thrown into the trash directly into the hot food in your stomach-killing two birds with one stone, refreshing and conscientious.
Seriously, the design of this App is so adorable. There is no such cold e-commerce feeling, but it is like a cute cooking board, clean and warm. Looking for deals nearby? Just slip and slip; want to filter by dietary needs or dish type? How many clicks to get it done; place an order? Pay with the flick of your finger. The loading speed is also fast, and the registration process is so friendly that even elders who have never played apps can get started. In short, there is nothing troublesome about it-whether you are a busy office worker or a student who is too lazy to cook, you can easily participate in the "leftover food rescue" operation.
There are now a ton of takeout and discount apps, but the great thing about Too Good To Go is that it only focuses on "sustainability" and "community impact" from start to finish. Its "surprise bag" mechanism specifically targets the source of waste "overproduction"-this is no longer just a meal App, but more like a silent movement. In addition, it is deeply bound to local merchants, forming a virtuous cycle: stores lose less, consumers eat cheap and good food, and the earth has less garbage. This way of directly linking "eating" and "reducing waste" has left discount apps that only focus on "large quantities and cheap" regardless of the environment.
I personally think that if you really want to do something tangible for the earth without trying too much brain, then Too Good To Go is just perfect for you. The interface is simple and fun, and the "surprise bag" concept makes every time you place an order feel like you are playing a treasure hunt-reducing waste suddenly becomes so interesting and fulfilling. But let's put it to the heart: surprise means uncertainty-you may get a bunch of foods you don't really like, so it's best for people who are not picky about food and are willing to try new things. If you eat every day, it is definitely synonymous with "cheap and fresh"; but if you have strict dietary taboos (such as vegetarian food, allergies, etc.), you still have to be careful, after all, you don't know what "mysterious guests" will pop up in the bag. Overall, I really think this is a magic weapon-environmentally friendly, saves money, and can also enjoy the surprise delicious food of local shops. Remember one saying: Every time you save a piece of food, the earth will be greener and you can save some money by the way. Why not?
Very simple! First go to the app store to download the App, register an account, and then open the interactive map to see which nearby stores have extra food. Click on it and start "saving" the food ~
Download and browse completely for free! You only need to pay when you buy a "surprise bag", and the price is people-friendly, starting at only $3!
Open the App and use that cool interactive map directly! It will tell you which small restaurants, coffee shops or grocery stores around you have leftover food, and you will find surprises by just looking around ~
To put it bluntly, a "surprise bag" is a store that randomly packs together food that cannot be sold out that day. All you need to do is browse through the App for optional bags, pick one you like, and go to the store to pick it up at the designated time!
First check the app to choose from, find one that suits your taste and budget, click in to confirm the order, and then pick it up at the designated place at the appointed time. It's super simple!
No way ~ The "surprise bag" is a mysterious blind box. The contents depend on what the store has left over that day. Everything you receive is fate! But every time there is a surprise ~
Users overwhelmingly praise Too Good To Go for its mission to reduce food waste while offering affordable meals and surprise bags from local eateries. Many highlight the app's intuitive interface, seamless ordering, and great value—often receiving more food than expected. The sense of discovery and support for sustainability are key draws. However, some users report frustration with recent updates removing the ability to set a custom search radius, forcing reliance on live location, which limits browsing in less populated areas. Others mention inconsistent experiences with vendors unfamiliar with the concept, and occasional technical glitches like orders not appearing in the app or AI support providing generic responses. Despite these issues, the majority find the app highly reliable for saving money and exploring new food spots.
This app is fantastic. It's affordable and helps reduce waste from stores that would normally discard these items. Big thumbs up! 👍🏻
This tool is excellent for reducing waste and saving money, especially when recycling isn't guaranteed. It helped me cut costs at places like Tim Hortons and my local pizza shop. If you can't handle the taste, fresh options are fine too. The goal is reducing waste and making affordable meals. Hope this helps anyone unsure.
The pickup process was simple, and the time window was convenient. Most Whole Foods pickup slots are between 8–9 PM. Since there's no Whole Foods near me, I usually need to take the subway to pick up orders. This option was super easy, and the generous amount of food made the trip well worth it.
6/22 update: The latest update removed ability to set location limits; only places within 2 miles appear, so I can barely see anything in my area. Please fix this. Original: Great app with good deals and fun exploration. I've enjoyed discounted meals and discovered new favorites. I'd like to view others' reviews though.
This is a really good app. It offers smooth performance, an intuitive interface, and reliable functionality. Highly recommended for daily use.
